Our Stories
Every family has a story that shapes the way they see the world.
When we started this passion project, our goal was simple: to understand. We wanted to learn more about schizophrenia not just from textbooks or research articles, but from real families who have lived through it and from those who have faced the uncertainty and emotional weight of mental illness. Through our interviews, we’ve learned that behind every diagnosis is a person, and behind that person is a family doing their best to love and support them.
Privacy & Respect Statement
At Unspoken Minds, we deeply respect the privacy and comfort of the individuals who share their stories with us. Some names used in our interviews may be changed at the request of the participant. We intentionally do not publish last names in order to protect identities and create a safe space for openness and vulnerability.
In some cases, photos may be provided by the participant with permission. In other instances, images may be symbolic or representative to further protect privacy.
Our priority is to honor each person’s story while ensuring they feel safe and respected throughout the process.
