Our Story
Unspoken Minds was founded by two passionate student leaders committed to raising awareness about schizophrenia. They were personally connected to loved ones living with the condition and witnessed the challenges, stigma, and isolation these individuals often face. Motivated by these experiences, they created a platform to foster understanding through highlighting real stories and building a compassionate community for people affected by schizophrenia.
The name Unspoken Minds reflects a painful truth: schizophrenia is a condition of the mind that is often left out of conversations. Many who live with it feel unheard or unseen. Their voices are silenced not only by the illness itself but also by the stigma that surrounds it. In many communities, the topic is uncomfortable or avoided entirely. By choosing the name Unspoken Minds, the organization seeks to break that silence, give voice to lived experiences, encourage honest dialogue, and draw attention to issues that are often overlooked.
